By downloading or using DetoxScreen, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Description of Service

DetoxScreen is a digital wellbeing app for iPhone that helps you create scheduled routines to restrict access to selected apps. The app uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to automatically apply and remove app restrictions based on your configured schedules.

2. Wellbeing Disclaimer

DetoxScreen is a self-management tool only. It is not a medical device, therapeutic tool, or substitute for professional help with digital addiction or mental health concerns. If you are experiencing compulsive device usage that significantly impacts your daily life, please consult a qualified professional.

3. Screen Time Authorization

DetoxScreen requires Screen Time authorization (FamilyControls) to function. By granting this permission:

You authorize the app to apply and remove app restrictions on your device based on your configured routines
You understand that during active routines, selected apps will be blocked by iOS
You can revoke this authorization at any time from iOS Settings, which will immediately remove all restrictions

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use DetoxScreen responsibly:

Use the app only for personal digital wellbeing management
Do not use the app to restrict another person's device without their consent
Do not attempt to modify, decompile, or reverse-engineer the app
Do not use the app for any illegal purpose

5. Your Data

DetoxScreen does not take ownership of your data. All routines, compliance records, and preferences remain on your device and under your control. The app has no backend server and cannot access your data remotely.

6. App Restrictions

When a routine is active, DetoxScreen uses Apple's ManagedSettings framework to shield selected apps. Please note:

Restrictions are applied and removed automatically based on your schedule
Each routine uses its own isolated settings store, so multiple routines do not interfere with each other
You can disable any routine at any time from the app to immediately remove its restrictions
Uninstalling the app will remove all restrictions
Emergency and essential system apps are never restricted by Apple's framework

7. Subscriptions

DetoxScreen offers a free version and a Pro subscription plan:

The free version allows one routine
DetoxScreen Pro ($29.99/year) unlocks unlimited routines, all widgets, and advanced statistics
Payment is processed through Apple
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings

8. Availability

We strive to keep DetoxScreen running properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. Screen Time functionality depends on Apple's frameworks and iOS version.

9. Limitation of Liability

DetoxScreen is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not responsible for data loss resulting from use of the app
We are not responsible for any inconvenience caused by app restrictions during active routines
We do not guarantee that restrictions will be applied or removed at the exact scheduled time
We are not responsible for changes in Apple's Screen Time APIs that may affect functionality
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the subscription

10. Intellectual Property

DetoxScreen and all its content (code, design, brand) are the property of Jordi Milla. No intellectual property rights are granted beyond the personal use of the app.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Spain.
